Currently, 21VIANET is providing services for more than 2000 well-known enterprises, and managing more than 80 distributed data management centers in more than 30 cities of China; meanwhile, it also has more than 22000 cabinets and more than 500 network nodes (POP). 21VIANET was formally founded in 1999, and listed in NASDAQ in America in April 2011, and then incorporated into NASDAQ global Internet index constituent stock in March, 2012.
In May 2013, Microsoft Windows Azure and Office 365 public cloud service operated 21VIANET successful landed in China, and it became China's first nternational first-class cloud computing service provider. In December, 2013, 21VIANET cooperated with IBM, and introduced IBM's top cloud computing infrastructure services CMS (Cloud Managed Services) into China, thus opening a new chapter of Chinese enterprises enjoying the high value private cloud services. In April 2014, 21VIANET cooperated with Unisys to launch Unisys Edge service management in China, so as to operate the cloud-based ITSM solution of Unisys in the local market. In September 2015, 21VIANET formally signed the strategic agreements with Tsinghua Unigroup and Microsoft, so as to provide the customers independently controllable, customizable hybrid cloud solutions and related services for Chinese state-owned enterprises and government departments.
